Uber might be worth a lot of money some day, but even then they are still not a big company. They are smaller than most Hospitals or even Your local string of grocery stores. The number of employees is under 1000 and their business experience is minimal. The mistakes they keep making is common for companies that are totally based on tech and not on business.
Male friend who interviewed at Uber asked about gender diversity & got the answer "Our recruiters are so hot".
