A very interesting lawsuit is in the works in California that should get all of Uber’s legal resources working 24/7. If Uber was smart, much smarter than the public thinks, they would spend all their time on defending this case. The case is a class action one that will be decided by 12 jury members that was brought by drivers in California stating that Uber is their employer. If Uber is indeed ruled the employer to all these drivers it would bring the company to a grinding halt all over the world. If Uber were to have to treat all drivers as employees their profits would be eaten up in minimum wages, health care, taxes and all the things that honest, legal companies have to pay. Uber could not function going against taxi companies if it had to operate on a level playing field.
